The Players 9th Street Youth Center opened at its original location in 1995 after PAACE hosted a community forum and the community identified the need for a youth center in Parker. A group of Parker teens attended a “Teen Biz” conference at the University of Arizona that summer and they returned with a vision of a place for kids to hang out and have fun, and the Players Entertainment Youth Center was born! In 1997 Players moved to a new building that was constructed through a Community Development Block Grant and the youth center was officially renamed the Players 9th Street Youth Center.
